Hand Painted Bespoke Kitchen Glass Splashbacks

My name is Madeleine, I currently live in rural Suffolk but spent many years in London. Art has been a constant throughout my life, whether creating, teaching or enjoying others' work. My main interest is specifically colour, shape and form. I studied ceramics at school and college, enjoying creating structural, eye catching designs that have a functional use. My focus is to create personalised work that is treasured and enjoyed yet used every day, rather than art that is saved behind glass. Ironically my latest work is designing and hand painting beautiful, unique glass splashbacks. The appeal for me is the designs are developed in collaboration with the client, ensuring an individual, timeless piece of art that is both functional and a focal point.  

We all strive to create an ergonomically working kitchen, trying hard to create a beautiful yet functional space in our homes. We spend hours deciding on appliances and kitchen paraphernalia, but struggle to find the right splashback. My hand painted splashback will tie into your colour scheme, add a dramatic feature or a subtle interesting artwork, whilst being a fully functional part of your kitchen for all to enjoy for many years
